Dandenong: March 27 - April 2, 2017

Zone Conference, Flu Shots, District meeting..Ehsan was conferred the Aaronic Priesthood, family visits, lots of driving and more..

Mar 27, Monday - Zone Pday in the chapel. Elder Knight and Elder Christenson cooked lunch for us. Thanks!

In the morning, President Vidmar came to Narre Warren Chapel and spoke to us together with the Narre Warren Sisers. Sister Masi would be going back to the Tongan program in Williams Landing and Sister Koroi would be with Sister Percival Tafili in Narre Warren.

Below is our Zone photo.

We played games - secret combination and monopoly, then dinner with the Riquelme family whose son is serving in the Philippines. We also met with Ewa (from Poland) who lived near the chapel but had health concerns which hindered her to come to church. She had strong testimony even though she was the only member in the family. Cool.

Mar 28, Tuesday - Updated our area map while Sister Koroi packed; then drove to the West side to drop Sis Masi to her companions - Sisters Aitu and Lonitenisi. We then met up with the STL West and discussed a few things, then to the mission office and got the van for zone conference tomorrow.

Mar 29, Wednesday - Zone Conference and flu shots.  The conference started with the new "Ask of God" video, Joseph Smith's first vision, and role plays on how we can help investigators receive revelation through reading the Book of Mormon, going to church and praying.  We also talked about the new Easter initiative.
Here comes the flu shot..
With Sister Patchell and Sister Fong                   With Sister Fakahokatau
Met Griffith Sisters after flu shots
With Moorabbin Sisters. Me, Sisters Manosig, Cruz, Schaub and golden Sister Ete bound for Temple Square (waiting for visa)

Then we picked up and dropped the Sisters from and to their areas..East taxi service..haha..

Mar 30, Thursday- Visited some former investigators in Dandenong north and had dinner with the McCallisters. They served us hot pot. Touraj called us that the chapel was still close. He was planning to attend the addiction recovery group. Bro. McCallister told us to have Touraj come over and join dinner. Touraj enjoyed the meal and the friendship as well.

Mar 31, Friday- District meeting today. We focus more on the things we learned last conference. We visited Martha, the Sudanese whom we met last week. We shared about Book of Mormon and she read the whole Introduction even if we only invited her to read 2 paragraphs. She was teary-eyed and said she would love to visit the church and she would pray about the BOM. Miracle. Today is Sister Caguimbal's birthday and we had dinner at their place.

Apr 1, Saturday- We met a couple of people in the Ward list. They said that they didn't need help at the moment and they were contented. Sad but what can we do? We invited them for conference next week, they were excited to hear about it and said they would try to attend. We also visited Sister Tham and she gave us some spare garments. Yeay freebies. We met more people from the ward list and set appointments for tomorrow.

Apr 2, Sunday- Ward council this morning. We also had an awesome gospel principle class. Bishop invited us to witness Ehsan receiving the Aaronic priesthood, ordained by his friend Mason (also from Iran) in their own language, Persian.  Bishop helped him at the start of the prayer. Cool. We also witnessed Ehsan passed the sacrament.
We also watched the Women's Broadcast and had our Family Zone evening where we planned for the upcoming missionary musical fireside with the youth. Great Elders with great talents!
